The creatures that inhabit Catriona Hall’s pictures are stylized, whiskerless, always left-facing, often rather portly and usually set in a Peak District landscape.
She regularly exhibits imaginary animals but also accepts commissions to portray pets and houses or favourite buildings.
Her subjects are immortalised with quirky simplicity and an earthy palette.
Catriona Hall’s work can be seen at the following galleries: StARTspace in Colombia Road, London, Cambridge Contemporary Art in Trinity Street, Cambridge, St. John Street Gallery in Ashbourne, Gallery in the Gardens in Buxton and Church Street Gallery in Saffron Walden.
